The colour scheme is intentionally bold and minimalistic, utilizing only two colours. We used a vibrant yellow hue to add cultural significance (nod to O'shane's Jamaican roots) to the identity while injecting energy into the design. This restrained palette ensures that the focus remains on Howard's visual work, with the design elements enhancing rather than distracting from the showcased projects.

DIGITAL EXPERIENCE

Thoughtfully curated galleries and interactive elements invite visitors to immerse themselves in O’shane Howard's ability to capture the affective essence of fleeting moments, while subtle nods to his Toronto and Jamaican roots and self-taught artistry enrich the experience. Balancing editorial sophistication with commercial appeal, the website reflects Howard’s expansive portfolio—from high-profile campaigns with renowned clients to intimate, culturally resonant exhibitions—serving as both a showcase for his work and an educational tool that elevates cultural awareness through visual storytelling.

LOGO

Crafting a logo for O'shane Howard was a fun task as we wanted to play with the initials "OH" to create a logo that felt impactful, fun and timeless. We tapped into O'shane's world of play to derive a logo that doesn't take itself too seriously yet adds a level of professionalism to the identity.

TYPOGRAPHY

The identity employs Kaneda Gothic as the header font, a bold sans-serif typeface chosen for its clean, editorial and contemporary appearance. To balance the display quality of Kaneda Gothic, we paired Fields, a soft and rounded typeface that adds a playful quality to the layout.
